About Us
The San Benito County Democratic Central Committee is the elected local governing body of the Democratic Party in San Benito County. We represent registered Democrats throughout the county, support Democratic candidates, encourage civic participation, and work to advance policies that strengthen our communities.
Our Mission
The San Benito County Democratic Central Committee works to advance the values and principles of the Democratic Party by supporting Democratic candidates, promoting civic engagement, and fostering inclusive and respectful dialogue. We are committed to building a stronger, more equitable San Benito County by empowering diverse voices, supporting policies that strengthen working families, protecting our environment, and advancing social and economic justice for all residents.
About the Central Committee
Central Committee members are elected by registered Democrats from each of San Benito County’s five supervisorial districts during the Presidential primary election.
Members serve four-year terms. Following certification of the Presidential primary election, newly elected members are seated at the Committee’s organizational meeting in January.
Meetings
Meeting dates or times may vary in December because of the holidays.
The current agenda is posted on the website at least two days before each meeting and includes the meeting format and participation instructions.
Registered Democrats, including students, are welcome to attend. Public comment is accepted at the beginning of the meeting and during agenda items when invited by the Chair.
